A brief history of Methodism
The first chapel on the current site in Kenilworth was built in 1903. This is now used as our church hall.
In the 1914-18 war 9 members gave their lives.
In 1968 a new church building was added to the east of the old church, adding much needed space for the growing church.
By the 1990's the church had outgrown its space again.
In this latest building, opened in January 2002, both the previous church buildings have been integrated into a seemless whole, giving much more space and added functionality.
A more detailed history of Methodism in Kenilworth, including the hundred years on the Priory Road site, has been written by church member Arnold Boulton and copies are available from the church office.
